Just released: NTugo Search.
Partly built to search through the entire NTugo Network, the search engine is a “mashup search” that works well for everyday searching as well. Not just an ordinary search engine, it shows thumbnails of the pages alongside their entries in the results, as well as some extra results off to the side (news, videos, and books, at present).

From 3:45 to 5:00 EST today, we did some maintenance on NTugo. We’re now on PHP5!
The changes have increased performance, helping you get faster loading times, and have made things a little more secure.
If you notice any bugs (which may have been caused due to the switch), please leave a comment.

Nowadays, more and more applications are moving online in the form of “web apps.” You may use Google Docs instead of Microsoft Word, GMail or Yahoo Mail instead of a desktop client, or MyNT instead of FeedReader.
Really, you need a way to organize web apps, and other sites you use frequently, into a central place where you can easily jump to the sites/apps you need. That’s what the NTugo Webtop is for.
Just make the webtop your home page and you have easy access to your web apps, and other sites. Like with MyNT, your webtop has a special URL (http://www.ntugo.com/webtop/you.html) for instant access without logging in. Read more»

I’d like to introduce the latest addition to the NTugo Blogs lineup. TubeLog is a blog consisting entirely of YouTube videos.
TubeLog brings you the best of YouTube, or it will anyway, once we get some more posts added.

The Cinematics blog has received a redesign, following the rest of the blogs. Now that all of the blogs have their own unique designs, we’re introducing something new.
Do you have an AdSense account? Now our bloggers (apply if you like writing) can enter their publisher IDs in their blog accounts, and make 50% of the ad revenue on the posts they write. We show your ads half of the time, and ours the other half. We figured that it was a good idea to give something back to our writers.

Ah, the BlogRush people finally gave you statistics. Let me guess, you’ve got something like 500 impressions, 1 click? BlogRush is a cool idea, though it hasn’t worked out so well. Heck, Daren Rowse, one of the top bloggers, had around 70,000 impressions and only a handful of clicks. I’m not going to bore you to death with yet another (there have been hundreds) post about “The Great BlogRush Scam.” Instead, I’ll offer you something better.
By now, you’ve probably heard of the NTugo Network. If you’re blog is accepted, a link to your blog and RSS feed will be added to the network page (which all network memebers are required to link to), excerpts of your blog’s recent posts will be featured on the network page, and headlines on the NTugo homepage. We’re even working on a Wordpress plugin that shows the Network headlines on your blog sidebar.
The ‘Network may not give you a “rush of traffic” (which BlogRush promised, and didn’t deliver), but it can benefit your blog in numerous ways.

Ex Libris has just received a new, unique design (see it here). In addition to the new layout, the banner has been reworked a bit.
You may be wondering why all of the blogs are being redesigned. There are two reasons.
- We’ve been planning to give each blog a unique design from the start.
- Having different themes will allow us to implement an interesting new feature for the benefit of our bloggers.

The InfiniTech blog has a new design now. Instead of a traditional blog design, we’ve set up a more magazine-like system.
There are now normal posts and Features. The most recent feature is, well, featured up near the top (and the headlines of older features are shown in a box below). Previews of the most recent normal posts are shown below the feature, along with a new innovation…the SpeedLinker.
Undoubtedly you’ve seen SpeedLinking posts (Examples: BlogBuzz and Speedlinking). Basically it’s a post rounding-up interesting links. Well, I came up with something even cooler. Instead of posting a speedlinking post every week or so, InfiniTech now has a box on the main page that displays speedlinked items. The items are added as their discovered, being “live” like normal blog posts. The blog authors can just add a new link when they see something cool on another blog.
Take a look at the new InfiniTech.
