Safari for Windows Beta

How interesting….

Apple has just released a public beta of Safari for Windows. Yes, you read that right. Apple’s web browser is coming Windows (Firefox is still better!).  Too bad someone found a security exploit only two hours after it was available for download. It’s beta, what do you expect? It’ll be patched pretty quick.

The whole idea of Safari for Windows reminds me of an old rumor. Could Apple be planning to release their iLife suite for Windows? Who knows. Personally, I don’t care. I want my next computer to be a Mac anyway.

wow…have never heard of this till now…thanks for the news, I am in the process of downloading this Beta. But before anything, the download is a whooping 28.1Mb of file size! That is huge compare to firefox and opera.

Well, I wish I could have an Mac too, unfortunately it is still damn expensive for me right now. So, just live with Vista at the moment. :-)

oops..a mistake, the 28.1Mb installation file actually is for the package including Safari and Quicktime. So installer with only Safari should be much smaller than that.

I’m not even getting Vista. :)

I’ll probably grab a copy of Safari soon, just to test it. I’m happy with Firefox, though.

well, it is actually a company laptop…
Ya..so far, I still think Firefox is the best.

    Wow, 8MB download?

After typing that, I check Firefox. A 4.8MB download. Browsers are pretty small, aren’t they?
